A late push for a playoff spot has come up short for the Dryden Eagles Boys High School Hockey team.
The Eagles almost pulled off a second consecutive upset against the top ranked Fort Frances Muskies, but fell 4-3 Tuesday night in a wildly entertaining game at the Memorial Arena.
Dryden gave the Muskies everything they could handle, but couldn’t get a late goal to send the game into overtime.
The Eagles currently have 11-points, three behind the Queen Elizabeth Warriors, with only one game to play.
Dryden will close out the season at home on Thursday against the Warriors.
