Eagles Stun Muskies On Home Ice To Take Game 1

The Fort Frances Muskies Boys High School Hockey team hasn’t lost a home game in well over a year so it was no surprise the Dryden Eagles entered the Best-of-3 Final as underdogs.
The Eagles paid no attention to the experts or historians as they shocked the Muskies 3-1 Monday night in the opening game.
Dryden implemented a defensive game plan to near perfection and received a golden performance from Brady Desserre in between the pipes.
Desserre finished with 38-saves and was 11-seconds away from a shutout.
Matt Pitchenese led the Eagles with a pair of goals, while Matt Kellar added a single.
Dryden can wrap up the NWOSSA championship Thursday night on home ice.
Meanwhile, the Dryden Girls open their final series tonight at home against the Muskies.
Game time is 6:30.
