It was an outcome not many expected in the battle for second place in the Norwossa boys high school league. The Dryden Eagles scored a 10-2 win over the visiting Red Lake Rams at the Dryden Memorial Arena Sunday night. The Rams came into the game 3 points ahead of the Eagles for second spot and now it will come down to a winner takes home ice advantage affair Monday. Leading the attack for the Eagles were Andrew Skene and Autin Helie who each netted a pair of goals while Ben Bartlett, Shawn Bull, Shaun Cappovilla, Mike Makar, Brian Montgomery and Michael Smith each added singles. Brendan Hourie and Shawn Bulawka responded for the Rams. The Two teams will play again Monday afternoon at 12:30 On Dryden Arena rink 1.
In Girls exhibition play the Dryden Eagles won 10-0 over the Red Lake Rams on Rink 2. The two teasm will play again on Monday at 12 noon.
In Girls playoff action game 2 of the “A” divsion playoffs was cancelled due to the road closure outside of Kenora. The Sioux Lookout Warriors and THomas Aquinas Saints will make the game up Tuesday night. The Saints lead the best of three 1-0.
