A tough task for the Dryden Eagles defence Thursday afternoon as Week 3 begins in the Winnipeg High School Football League.
The Eagles face running back Mathieu Cornborough and the St. Norbert Celtics.
On the other side of the ball, Dryden defensive back Jacob Wesley says they want to build on last week’s win over Kenora.
Wesley says the team is feeling good but they aren’t over-confident.
He says their defence continues to improve as the offence has been giving them a cushion.
Wesley notes they want to keep Cornborough to the inside and let the defence do what they do best.
Cornborough is second in the league in rushing yards and touchdowns.
Game time is 4 o’clock at Harry McMaster Field.
Both teams are 1-1.
