Economy Address Passionate and Serious

Dryden was built on the strength of its people, with a vision of growth and opportunity, and its time to renew that vision.
Mayor Anne Krassilowsky made that passionate remark during an 11-minute televised address last night, noting the City can and will diversify its economy.
She says we need to work together to steer through tough economic times.
Krassilowsky says the City is working with the Dryden Development Corporation on a number of projects.
Krassilowsky stated mining, tourism, health care, education, value-added opportunities as well as solar and bio-mass power are all high priorities right now.
She stresses better times are ahead for the community.
The Mayor notes the City wants to hear from residents and potential investors.
Krassilowsky says the doors to the City are always open and citizens can drop off Comments and suggestions at the Municipal Hall.
Other suggestions or ideas can be e-mailed generalinquiries@dryden.ca.
The address will air on Shaw Cable Channel 10 tonight at 7 o’clock and throughout the week.
