Two down and just one to go for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.
The public school board has reached a tentative contract
agreement with its 180 education assistants.
The teaching assistants are represented by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation, and have agreed to a four year deal, retroactive to the beginning of the school year.
Cindy Hayward is the local union president and says details of the contract won’t be released until its ratified next week.
The education assistants will vote on the tentative agreement on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, while trustees are scheduled to ratify the contract at their open meeting on Tuesday.
