A stop in Northwestern Ontario for Education Minister Liz Sandals.
Sandals met with officials in Thunder Bay today, and says there are a number of common themes emerging across the region.
Students have said they need to know more about financial literacy and how they can manage their own money.
In addition, Sandals says over $200 million will go towards creating four new funds that will help young people find work, build job skills and start their own business.
It’s targeted at helping students get their first work experience, developing their skills as well as entrepreneurship and innovation opportunities.
Sandals also heard from students with disabilities, and says it’s important that there are mental health supports for students.
