In loving memory of Edward Nelson Gibbins (Ed) of Richan Road, who passed away on March 30, 2013 with his son Ed at his side.
Ed was a heavy duty mechanic at Great Lakes Forest Products until he retired.
Ed loved all animals, domestic and wild. Ed will always be knows as “The Bear Man” of Richan Road. Stray animals that wandered into his yard never left.
Ed is survived by his children: Ruth Couglin (Sioux Lookout), Valerie (Andy) Clavet (Thunder Bay), Dianne Engstrom (Thunder Bay), Ed (Terri) Gibbins (Wabigoon), Cathy (Evan) Evans (Dryden), Fred (Kathy) Gibbins (Dryden), Barbara (Steve) Bottos (Dryden).
Ed is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and by the mother of his children Elsie Gibbins of Dryden. Ed was Predeceased by his son Pete Livingstone, and his son-in-law Albert Couglin.
At Ed’s request there will be a private family memorial service. In Ed’s memory donations may be made to the Second Chance Pet Network through the Dryden Community Funeral Home 249 Grand Trunk Ave, Dryden, ON P8N 2X3.
