Effects Will Be Felt From Closing Generating Stati

The co-chair of the Common Voice Energy Task Force is urging Ontario’s new Energy Ministry to look at all options for northwestern Ontario.
Iain Angus met with Bob Chiarelli and the Ontario Power Authority in Toronto this afternoon.
Angus says the first priority is keeping the Thunder Bay generating station running.
He says that their research shows when the generating station goes offline on December 31, 2014 due to the ban on coal, the northwest will be short on electricity.
Angus notes the northwest is already on the verge of rolling black-out’s and stresses a power shortage will cripple the regional economy.
