Shining a light on an area treaty for the purpose of future reconciliation.
That is what Elder Robert Green was trying to accomplish with a presentation at Dryden High School Tuesday about Treaty 3 during Treaty Recognition week.
Green says it is important to study so that we can come together as a country.
He says there are many words missing and several differences from the original treaty that was discussed and the final copy that they signed.
Green says he hopes his message will have a ripple effect on other communities in an effort to restore hope.
