Electrical Upgrades Across Northwestern Ontario

A victory of sorts for the lobby group Common Voice Northwest.
Spokesperson Iain Angus says they’ve been successful in convincing the Ontario Power Authority to make some improvements to the electrical system in the region including a new transmission line between Dryden, Atikokan and Thunder Bay.
The OPA is also planning upgrades to the transmission system in the Red Lake area.
Another promise is to create three new planning zones for the Thunder Bay, Greenstone and Rainy River regions.
