Electricity Rates Going Up

Get ready to pay more for electricity this winter.

The Ontario Energy Board is announcing new rates effective November 1st.

Consumers will be paying roughly $4.42 more on their monthly bill.

Also on November 1st, the hours for mid-peak and on-peak prices change to the winter use of hours.

The lowest-priced, off-peak period remains from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays, all day weekends and holidays.
