Elementary List Submitted to Ministry of Education

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has submitted its list of elementary schools that could house full day kindergarten classes.
The list has been sent to the Ministry of Education.
Director of Education Larry Hope says starting in September they will have 2 full day learning sites.
Hope notes the Province will not be upgrading any of the chosen schools, so eligible facilities need to have existing space and kindergarten facilities.
Pinewood in Dryden, Ignace, Lillian Berg in Vermilion Bay, Ear Falls, Keewatin and Pinewood School in Kenora all have the potential and room to house the program starting next Fall.
Hope says they hope to hear back from the Ministry in January.
