The Ontario Public School Boards’ Association says the provincial government isn’t addressing the real issues during bargaining.
And that’s why the union has announced it’s ramping up work-to-rule action effective Monday.
Teachers and occasional teachers will withdraw from Ministry meetings and workshops as well as mandated meetings with principals.
The union stresses the additional action is designed to have minimal impact on students.
Elementary teachers have already stopped administering standardized tests and adding comments to report cards.
The instructors, who have been without a contract since the beginning of the school year, started a work-to-rule campaign on May 11.
