Elementary School Teachers across Ontario including those in the Rainy River District will hold a strike vote on Monday.
Elementary Teachers Federation President Emily Noble says the union is holding a strike vote to put some pressure on school boards to take negotiations a little more seriously.

Noble says while a strike would be the last option, the federation is looking at possible work to rule campaign in March and April if there is no movement at the table.
Noble says negotiations have been going slowly and teachers have been without a new contract for 5 months now.
