Elk And Moose

It seems some hunters are having a hard time telling the difference between elk and moose in Ontario.
Eight elk were shot by hunters last fall… at least one was shot in the Northwest.
Murray English co-chairs a group that has been reintroducing elk into this region.
English says in most cases the shootings were accidental.
Meantime, he adds no new animals are being brought into the province this year.
There is some concern about chronic wasting disease on the Prairies where the elk have been imported from.
