In loving memory of Ella Bernice Lever who passed away peacefully November 16th, 2002, after a long struggle with cancer. Ella was born at the Dryden Red Cross Hospital on February 23rd, 1935. She received her education through correspondence, Van Horne Township Country School and Dryden Schools. She worked as a home care helper, tourist camp worker, and St. Regis for a number of years before moving to Prince George B.C. in 1967. After suffering back injuries in a vehicle accident in 1968, she returned to Ontario to continue business school in Kenora and Thunder Bay. Ella settled in Thunder Bay where she worked in various positions before working for the Ontario Government at Mini Queens Park as a printer. She retired in February 2000. Ella was very family oriented and had very strong family values. She believed in lending a helping hand to family and friends and played a major role in the lives of her siblings and many nephews and nieces and their families. She was a mentor for, and supportive of the younger members of the family in any endeavour. She was very creative and was well known for her perfection in all sewing, crafts, and stitchery. Many of her friends in Thunder Bay and Dryden will remember her for her enthusiastic participation in their craft club activities. Ella was predeceased by her father Edward; mother Dorothy Lever (nee Coates); as well as baby brother George Edward, and brother Herbert Arthur Lever. She leaves to mourn in her passing: William Lever of Dryden, James Lever of Dryden, George Lever of Whitehorse, Yukon, Tessa Smith of Dryden, Roy Lever of Dryden, Mary Albisser of Whitehorse, Yukon, and Ruth (Ray) Wilson of Dryden. Many numerous nieces, nephews, and their children also survive. Ella will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd, 2002 at the Dryden Community Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Brian Eschbach officiating.
