If you’re using a wireless device, you will soon be receiving automatic emergency alerts.
They are for things like natural disasters, ambers alerts, forest fires, terrorist attacks or severe weather.
When these alerts are issued, your phone will sound an alarm.
It’s the same tone as you will hear from radio and TV emergency alerts, and you are not able to opt out.
Alerts will begin on April 6th.
