A dream season has come to a fitting end for the Queen Elizabeth Warriors Boys High School Hockey team.
The Warriors completed a memorable trip to Collingwood and the All-Ontario Finals with a 3-2 win over the Bracebridge Lakers Thursday.
Cortez Favot scored the Warriors third shorthanded goal of the tournament and added another one 5-5.
Kendall Schulz also found the back of the net.
Jaden Marshall made several key saves when it mattered and finished with 26-stops.
The Warriors finished the All-Ontario final with a 1-3 record but impressed everyone with their work and class both on and off the ice.
This will be the final game for the Warriors under the Queen Elizabeth name, as students and staff prepare to move into a new school in the Fall.
The team will now get some well deserved downtime and will head to Toronto to visit the Hockey Hall of Fame.
The Warriors will travel to Sault Ste. Marie Friday before making the trek back to Sioux Lookout on Saturday.
