An update on the closure of the Dryden Police Services Communications Centre will be provided at a public meeting next Thursday.
The Police Service announced last year plans to transfer dispatch service to the Owen Sound Police Department as a cost savings measure.
An overview of the application to close the Com. Centre as well as a preview of the new 911 dispatch model will be provided at the meeting.
Police Chief Rob Davis, Owen Sound Police Chief Bill Sornberger and Dryden Police Services Board legal counsel Bob Edwards will be on hand to make presentations.
The meeting is January 16th at 6:30 at the Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services building.
