Preliminary contract talks between the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation and the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board have been described as positive.
The 2 sides met over the past couple of days to begin work on a new agreement.
The teachers have been without a contract since the beginning of the school year and more talks are scheduled.
Meantime, School Board officials will be meeting with representatives for the Elementary Teachers Federation Thursday night.
They will be discussing a framework for their negotiations planned for the end of the month.
