Encouraging folks to shop at home.
The Federal Government has ended tariffs on baby clothes and sports gear, including skates, hockey sticks, skis and golf clubs.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford says local residents will see lower prices on those items and it will close the gap between the prices between Canada and the United States.
Rickford says this is a $76-million move.
He notes the move was made following considerable consoltation with businesses and Chambers of Commerce.
