Applications are now being accepted for the Northern Energy Credit.
The new credit gives single Northerners $130 and $200 for families.
Minister of Northern Development Michael Gravelle says the credit is for low to middle income Northerners.
Gravelle says if you make less then $48,000 or $65,000 for families, who are eligible.
Gravelle notes the credit will help offset the high electricity costs.
Applications are available online or at any Service Ontario location.
