Energy efficiency at its finest at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
As of 8 months of this fiscal year, $15,000 has been saved in water and sewer costs.
The two biggest energy consumers are electricity and water and sewer.
Director of Facilities Ken Kiewning says one thing that was done to save money was putting a low temperature soap system into laundry facilities.
Kiewning also notes that water cooled compressor units were replaced with high efficient air cooled units.
He says this year the hospital will continue to focus on saving on electricity costs.
