Energy Minister Greg Rickford says enough is enough and he will no longer tolerate sky high gas prices in some local communities.
The Kenora-Rainy River MPP is sharing his frustrations with motorists with the price at the pump in Dryden and other municipalities.
The posted price at area stations are well above the national average.
Rickford is promising to get to the bottom of this and his government will do its best to come up with a plan after some sort of investigation is performed.
He is suggesting using the Competition Bureau.
The Bureau is inviting the public to provide information, if they’re able to provide evidence of price fixing.
The Bureau says it’s illegal for competing gas stations to agree to set the price of gas.
