November Nightmare Ends On A Sour Note For Dogs

It was a month to forget for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.

For the first time in franchise history, the Ice Dogs failed to pick up a win in November, ending with a 4-1 setback to the visiting Red Lake Miners Wednesday night.

The Ice Dogs once again failed to generate quality chances finishing with only 23 shots.

Trailing 2-0 in the third, Eric Stout scored to give Dryden GM life, however Bryce Young scored his first of two 13 seconds later to steal momentum right back.

Keegan Tiringer and Sean Gula scored first and second period goals respectively for the Miners.

The game ended with four players on each side being ejected for fighting with under four minutes to play which will result in a minimum of one game suspensions.

With the victory, Red Lake remains seven points back of first place Thunder Bay.

Despite Dryden’s sixth straight loss, they still remain three points back of fourth place Fort Frances.

The Lakers fell to Thunder Bay 6-3.

The Ice Dogs will now have a week and a half to regroup and prepare for a December run.

Red Lake plays Fort Frances on Saturday.
