Energy Plan Revealed

3 routes are being looked at for possible sites for a Hydro Transmission Line from Manitoba through Northwestern Ontario.
The first would go through existing paths along the CN Rail tracks and Highway 17 while the other 2 options are to build a road linking communities from Fort Severn to Sandy Lake First Nation.
The suggested paths would create permanent roads, cheap electricity, new jobs and training.
Anicinabe-Aski Spokesperson Mike Fox says the region will reap the benefits if the project moves ahead.
A joint report between Manitoba Hydro and Hydro One will be released later this month.
