Enrolment Drops at Dryden Catholic School

The Northwest Catholic District School Board has seen enrolment drop, with the largest decrease in Dryden.
Superintendent of Education Al Cesiunas says during a 5 month period, the Board lost 19 students at St. Joseph’s School.
Cesiunas says the drop is due to the layoffs at the Weyerhaeuser Mill, and a declining population in the Northwest.
Board Officials say they are closely monitoring the figures and will have to draft an action plan if the numbers continue to fall.
