The Northwestern Health Unit will once again not be larviciding this Summer to help combat West Nile Virus.
Health Official Al Mathers says they are taking a different approach.
The Health Unit has received Provincial funding to mosquito trap in Dryden, Kenora and Fort Frances as West Nile season is approaching.
Mathers says they will continue to collect and closely monitor bird activity this summer but research indicates this region is not likely to see any human cases of the virus.
