Officials from over 30 northern First Nations are in Thunder Bay for a major conference on environmental issues.
More than 150-delegates are expected to attend.
Organizer Stu Finn says they want to plan out the next 10-15 years of where there energy will come from and how they will manage the supply.
Finn notes the gathering is also a chance to share best practices and experiences.
He adds says communities are now realizing how important the environment is as they are starting to feel the effects of climate change.
