If you wanted to see the name of Dryden’s new School changed from Open Roads, you shouldn’t hold out much hope.
Keewatin-Patricia District School Board Chair Dave Penney says Trustees hardly ever reverse a decision made by an appointed Committee.
Penney says the Committee put a lot of time and effort to come with the name Open Roads and notes it was supported by the Board.
However, Penney says the Executive Committee will take a look at the request.
The Executive could make a final recommendation to the Board at the Committee of the Whole meeting on September 27th.
Jeff Cole presented a 1,400 signature petition to the Public School Board at its open meeting in Dryden Tuesday night, with only one person in attendance to offer support.
