Expansions Planned For Sioux Lookout Airport

The Sioux Lookout Airport is in the process of developing a preliminary design for expansion, which will hopefully be complete by mid February.
Manager Ben Hancharuk says they wanted to start earlier, but there were more pressing needs such as runway and taxiway maintenance.
Hancharuk says once they have developed the preliminary design, which includes the time frame and different funding options, it will go to council.
Some of the improvements proposed include enhancements to the check in area, concession and parking.
Hancharuk says not only will it benefit their customers, but the tenants as well.
