Dryden Mayor Craig Nuttall is hoping to delay Monday’s scheduled vote on a motion to avoid an OPP costing study.
Nuttall says a costing study is the only way to determine whether the City is getting “bang for its buck”.
He also notes it requires the participation of all Councilors, as Ken Moss is expected to miss the discussion.
Nuttall says he has nothing against the Police Department but notes they are looking at a $5-million Police budget and notes its time to clamp-down financially.
Councilor Brian Collins plans to bring forward the resolution at the regular Council meeting next week and was hopeful that it would come with minimal opposition.
