Expect A Show As Perseid Meteor Shower Expected To Be At Its Best Tonight

Star gazers are being reminded to look to the heavens Wednesday night and the next couple of days.

The annual Perseid meteor shower is happening all week, but it’s tonight that the shooting stars will be at their best and brightest according to Brendon Roy of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.

Roy says the best time to watch is around midnight in the northeast and you don’t need any equipment to see them.

He says the shower will be easily visible.

Roy adds it’s a special show as the meteor’s are very bright and leave long trails in the night sky.

He says there will be a maximum of 80-per hour bursting through the night sky.
