Extended Ban on Lake of the Woods

New fishing regulations on Lake of the Woods are being called a good Christmas present for Lake Trout.
The new MNR fishing guide has extended the ban on catching lake trout beyond the Clearwater and Echo Bay areas of the lake.
Gord Pyzer has been pushing for the ban and says it will benefit the species in the years ahead.
The there is a zero catch limit for much of the northern part of Lake of the Woods, except for Whitefish Bay.
