Extra-Curricular Activities Suspended

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has also announced that all extra-curricular activities for secondary school students will be suspended until further notice.
Director of Education Jack McMaster says that with the escalating job action by teachers and staff, they can not provide the supervision to ensure student safety.
The suspension applies to all Nor-WOSSA sports games, regular season and tournament play, dramatic productions, travel clubs and any noon hour activities that involve supervision and coaching.
McMaster says they will reassess the situation after the Christmas break.
This does not affect schools in the Northwest Catholic District School Board.
