The Dryden Regional Health Centre is tightening security.
The Hospital Board has approved more than $30,000 worth of security and surveillance work.
Cameras will be placed in 9 critical areas of the Hospital, including the main entrance, where people wanting to enter will be interviewed after hours, through an intercom and camera system.
CEO Andrew Skene says the measure is a precautionary one, with the Hospital trying to adjust to changing times.
