Breaking out of the Kenora jail has earned a Winnipeg man an extra six months behind bars.
25-year-old Dustin Hiebert was handed the sentence in addition to two years in Federal prison on charges of dangeroues operation of a motor vehicle and escaping custody.
Court was told Hiebert originally tried to flee from the RCMP at the Ontario/Manitoba border and was arrested in Kenora last November.
He was returned to Ontario in January before escaping July 27th only to be caught less than a day later in Winnipeg.
