Extreme Cold Warning Continues – Relief Coming

Elementary School kids in our area might be missing classes today, but they certainly aren’t missing their walk to school.

An Extreme Cold Warning continues across the entire CKDR Broadcast area with temperatures at 9 this morning with temperatures in the mid minus thirties and wind chills of minus 40 and colder.

In fact, the deep freeze extends from Winnipeg where it feels like -39 to Thunder Bay where a light wind has it feeling like -40 at 9 this morning.

Environment Canada says temperatures should moderate this afternoon in the area and we can look forward to -9 averages for Friday.
