The ‘Eye See Eye Learn’ campaign has been launched in Dryden.
The program offers a free pair of glasses for kids with an annual eye exam if prescribed through participating optometrists.
Suzanne Lockyer says studies show that if students don’t have the correct glasses for school, they tend to under-perform.
Lockyer notes 80% of learning is done visually.
She adds it’s important for children to get their eyes checked annually.
