Ontario PC leader Patrick Brown says the government isn’t telling the whole story when releasing its Fall Economic statement.
Brown says the Liberals took a $1-billion from reserves and used another $1.1-billion from the sale of Hydro One to pay down the deficit.
Brown claims the deficit is actually $2.1-billion higher than the government admits.
Finance Minister Charles Sousa and Deputy Premier Deb Matthews both stress the revenue from the sale of the crown corporation is going into the Trillium Trust Fund for infrastructure upgrades.
Matthews adds they are beating their deficit reduction targets year after year.
