The provincial government is being asked to look into changes surrounding funding for long term care home workers.
The Dryden Princess Court Family Council is leading the cause alongside the Ontario Association of Non-Profit Homes and Services for Seniors.
They say facilities like Princess Court are managing with only 3.4-hours of personal care per day for each person.
In a statement from Council Chair Isabel MacLean the current funding allocation restricts how much time care givers have to help someone get dressed, cleaned up and prepare meals.
The Council wants the government to bring funding up to four hours a day.
MacLean stresses the current formula needs to be changed now.
She’s encouraging public input on how to enhance level of care.
