Family Dispute

A family dispute in the Red Lake area has sent one man to hospital with serious injuries.
OPP say the incident happened early yesterday morning at an apartment on Detta Road in Balmertown when officers discovered that two brothers and a sister had been fighting over money.
All three had been drinking at the time.
Police say one of the brothers had been severely assaulted and the sister had been assaulted as well.
The injured brother, a 29-year-old Pikangikum man, was taken to Red Lake hospital but later transferred to Thunder Bay for further treatment.
He is facing assault charges.
The injured sister was treated in hospital and released.
Meantime, the uninjured brother, a 24-year-old Pikangikum man, has been taken into custody and is facing assault charges.
