Quick response from firefighters in Wabigoon helped save a couple of homes.
Crews were dispatched to a wild fire Wednesday afternoon around 1 o’clock.
High winds fanned the blaze to a home and the side started to burn.
Firefighters managed to knock down the grass fire before it could cause significant damage.
The Ministry of Natural Resources is investigating the cause.
Wabigoon Fire Prevention Officer Richard Wetelainen is urging residents to be very cautious as the ground is starting to dry up.
