Fatal Collision on Highway 17

One person is dead following a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 17 about
10-kilometres west of Vermilion Bay.
OPP say early Sunday morning an eastbound Ford Tempo entered the westbound lane
and struck a tractor-trailer.
The lone occupant of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 2-occupants of the transport were taken to Dryden Hospital
with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash closed the Trans-Canada for 8-hours.
The name of the deceased has not been released.
