Fatal on Lake of the Woods

A 61-year-old American man is dead following a boating mishap on Lake of the Woods Tuesday night.
Kenora OPP say a family of 5 were returning to their camp in Nestor
Falls when the operator of a boat lost control, throwing a passenger sitting
in a swivel chair into the water.
The victim was struck by the motor of the boat and died at the scene.
OPP say James Smith of New Port, Kentucky was not wearing a life jacket
and note alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the incident.
