Feasibility Study on Urban Reserve

The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund is providing $63,000 to help Sioux Lookout study the feasibility of establishing an urban reserve.
An urban reserve is a Federal designation of land within municipal boundaries that gives First Nation businesses the chance to establish themselves and provide employment and training opportunities.
Sioux Lookout Area Chiefs and the Municipality will handle the study which will include public consultations.
The study is expected to be completed before next March.
