An Ignace man has been fined $2,000 for allowing his 2-dogs to run loose during closed hunting season for moose.
The Ministry of Natural Resources received a call back in June about a calf moose that was chased and mauled by 2-dogs north of Upsala.
A few days later, officers spotted the same dogs running loose at a forestry bush camp near Selwyn Lake and they determined they were the same dogs that attacked the moose.
Robby Levesque pleaded guilty in court.
