Federal Funding For Kasabonika Lake

Kasabonika lake First Nation is getting $10-million.

The federal money is going towards the construction of a lagoon for their waste water treatment system.

Kenora MP Greg Rickford says the government had two requirements before supporting the project.

Rickford says they wanted to ensure the community had the right materials and that aboriginal workers were secured for the work.

He notes another big hurdle was getting the proper equipment to the First Nation.
