The warm, dry weather and high winds has resulted in volatile fire conditions across the northwest.
The Ministry of Natural Resources is dealing with several wildfires.
A 10-hectare fire is burning about 10-kilometres northeast of Sioux Lookout.
A large fire is also raging north of the Shoal Lake First Nation.
The MNR says it’s not threatening the community but it has been spreading quickly under high winds.
At last report it was at 350-hectares in size.
Other fires are reported in the Thunder Bay and Fort Frances districts.
Meantime, the MNR has sent 126-fire fighters to Alberta to help deal with several out of control fires, mainly in the north part of the province.
